Watched a movie in Cinemanila Film Festival last night while cruising around Gateway Mall in Cubao. The festival is still on going till today, October 29 ,in Cinema 1,4 ,3 and 5. Enjoy and watch this international quality movies and most of them are hard to find movies. Its a good thing that there are festivals like this, once in a while, to learn and experience the culture and stories of other countries. It helps us expand our horizons and open our minds with the realities in this world. Cinemanila, on its 1oth year, celebrates the success of different films around the world. It is a great venue for young Filipino filmmakers who want to share their talents through movies.

Note: If you want to get a discount, do not forget to you bring your school ID.
150 pesos regular fee and 100 pesos for students

Just want to share some of the best lines from the movie.

I was wondering, if you could ever love someone
without ever being afraid of that person.
I was also wondering if one could go through life
without loving anyone at all
-------
Even if we made mistakes along the way,
it's better than never having tried to love and be loved
-------
Life always gives us the opportunity
to start over after we learn from our mistakes
-------
As long as you love, there is still hope
-------
I can't be your boyfriend,
but that doesn't mean that I don't love you

Taurus

Right now your charms are absolutely intoxicating to every single person you encounter! Folks will be eager to hang out with you, so just to soak up some of the sunshine you are emitting every time you smile. Consequently, they are going to work hard to make you smile, over and over again! The jokes will be flying and your funny bone will have the life tickled out of it. This is going to be a fun and entertaining day, chock full of shenanigans and good-natured pranks

-my horoscope for today from friendster.com

Isang malaking kalokohan yata itong horosocope na to
. Today is one of the most unproductive, boring and uninspiring day so far, for me, for this past weeks. I was used to the system for the past days and breaking the routine is kinda inconvenient for me.

This morning, I woke up early just to check my phone. No text. Even during lunch, I didn't follow my usual lunchmates in the cafeteria since I am waiting for a single message on my cellphone and even in Yahoo Messenger. One of my colleague even teased me that its so unusual that I haven't smiled, joked or laughed the whole morning.

Not knowing where you are and by not texting me the whole night are really great ways to make me suffer. Yes, I admit that part of it was my mistake. What I need now is just a simple effort from you to make the first move. I stil believe that it is you who really need to intiate this time. We know what happen and I know that you will understand why I am doing this. I am not doing this just to hurt you. You know that I love you. Why will I hurt the person I love? I know that this is just one among the many misunderstandings and small fights we always have and I don't want this feeling to last for a long time. I love you and I am sorry. I'll see you. Happy 8th month.

In fact, they were the first Filipino Band to be featured in MTV's “Advanced Warning”, showcasing up-and-coming artists in the Asian region and worldwide. Two great nights.

1. Last friday we went to Ortigas for a movie. We watched Mark Wahlberg's Max Payne based on a popular video game. After the dinner, we had a short beer drinking session in Watering Hole along Shangrila. Yup, I do miss Malate. I miss dancing. I miss the noice. But being with you the whole night is far more better with Malate's charm. I really enjoyed the night. Promise.

2. While last night, we stayed in Starbucks Tomas Morato from 9:00 till the early morning. I had accomplished some errands while inside the coffee shop :-) Tomorrow, I will be back to work again. My 2-week break is done. Back to reality.

I really miss being a home buddy. As in staying here in Angeles City. Since it’s our short semestral break at work and grad school, I went home last Friday to have a vacation for few days. My activities for the past days revolves around sleeping, eating, surfing the net, chatting. Last night, I went to the mall for dinner with my brother and dad. Ssince none of us want to cook and prepare something for dinner. Before dinner, I stayed in Starbucks to check some quizzes and accomplish some paper works.

My favourite activity so far is the cheap massage from a new spa here in AC, the Body and Sole franchise which is originally from Cebu and other Vizayan cities. The massage cost 250 pesos and an additional 100 pesos if you want to have a 30 mins sauna. All I can say that Body and Sole is a classy slash cheap legit spa wherein you can relax and loosen up from stress from work and school.

Yesterday I stayed in Starbucks at SM Clark for few hours to do some paper works and just to drink and eat my fave coffee and blueberry cheesecake. What I noticed is that most of the customers are Koreans and young military man from the US for their rest and recreation break from their "Balikatan" training inside Clark Air Base.

Back in the old days, lot of foreigners like Australians and Europeans settled in Angeles. It’s not impossible to have 2 or more classmates which have foreign bloods either from their mother of father. One of my closest friend in college is half German. Even though she has a foreign blood and different upbringing we got along well.

Now, most of the foreigners in Angeles are Koreans and its good thing that the Westerners are back to help boost the good and progressive economy of Angeles. According to some research, Angeles has a lot of potential to improve its economy. In fact, we have now an Ayala community and Ayala Mall next year. Proud to be Angeleno!

I will be back in QC this morning to do some errands like applying for a passport in DFA. Hope to do a lot of things this coming three days and I still have one final exam in grad school on Thursday.

The administration is not yet decided on the suggestion of an early 10-day semestral break in the next two weeks which is previously scheduled on November. The investigation about the fire last Tuesday is not yet final since they need to conduct the load and stress test of the Science and Humanities building to assure the safety of the community first. For the last two days, the administration seems to be busy preparing for the coming of some Singaporeans and Koreans which were previously scheduled before the accident. That means some immediate actions about the problems of relocation of the faculty and staff that are affected by the fire is not the priority of the administration. I don't know if that is a bright idea coming from a newly installed Director.

Yesterday, our department have decided to initiate and propose some alternatives to help the affected faculty member (mostly Humanities teachers). But I hope the administrators will focus on the immediate actions and remedies so that they can lead us for the betterment of the whole community in time of crisis. But one good thing we achieve is the camaraderie between our group and other teachers from the “other” building. For the past days, this camaraderie was seen. We are very grateful for the gratitude they have given to us. We assure them that all the help we can possibly provide will be shared to them.

After the meeting this afternoon, we proceeded to Tong Yang Hotpot in Quezon Avenue for a shabu shabu. Thanks to Maam Buenafe and happy birthday Maam Tess. Here are some pictures after almost two hours of eating.:-)

MANILA, Philippines – A fire of still unknown origin hit a room inside the Philippine Science High School campus on Agham Road, Diliman, Quezon City before dawn Tuesday.
Chief Insp. Oscar Villegas, Quezon City Fire District Station 1 commander, told the Inquirer that arson probers were still investigating the cause of the blaze that destroyed the faculty room on the second floor of the school’s Humanities Building.
Villegas said there was nobody in the building when the fire broke out at 1:14 a.m. It destroyed teachers’ lockers, desks and documents such as test papers and lesson plans.
Firemen have yet to determine the damage caused by the blaze, which, fortunately, did not spread to nearby rooms in the building.
Villegas said the fire reached the third alarm before it was placed under control at 2:25 a.m. and put out 16 minutes later.

I was absent yesterday. I went home in Angeles to do some family stuff. It was early morning when I received a text message that the students do not have classes. But according to the text we need to go to the campus for an emergency meeting. I texted some of my friends in QC if its raining hard or if there is a typhoon as the reason for the cancellation of classes since I have no idea about the fire until I heard it on the radio.
---
The big problem now are the papers, submissions, grades, and lesson plans that were burned in the faculty room. According to my colleague, students will not have their classes this week so that the authorities can have their investigation and will check the damages of the building.
---
Supposedly, it was the first day of the 2nd periodical exams today. Some malicious people in forums and blogs are associating the fire with this. Personally, I dont think or will never think that our students will do such a stupid thing (to start a fire) just to miss or delay the examinations. They are the smartest and brightest kids in the country and for that they will never do that. Pisay students are not weird, nerds, or criminals. They are just ordinary high school students with great intellectual abilities. Some of them also cheats, cut class, etc like any other regular students.
