Too busy this past week. Had conducted different trainings in Cavite, Pampanga ang Olongapo for TechFactors Inc. But I'm quite happy with the turnout of these trainings and I still have two schools next week in Angeles and Olongapo City.

Had watched Taiyo No Uta (A Song to the Sun). A film screened in the 2006 Cannes Film Festival from a Japanese director and starred with great artist/singer YUI. Just want to share two of my favorite songs in the movie

Thanks to Rosette for sharing me the copy of the movie and introducing me to the great Japanese music :-)

Went to Cavite last week to conduct an IT training in Statefields School in Molino. The other three schools who participated in the training includes International British Academy, Elizabeth Seton School and Southville International School in Las Pinas. The training is my part time job this summer for Techfactors Incorporated, a company that develops E-Learning program for high school and elementary schools. I was very nervous in my first day since I am not that ready for the weeklong training. I got the materials a day before the actual training. I’m thankful and very lucky that the participants are really cooperative. I learn a lot from them since they are established teachers from the best International Schools in Metro Manila.

My stay in Angeles is pretty relaxing so far. I met some old friends and colleagues during my college days. There is one consistent observation they told me. I looked matured now compared to the last time they saw me. Even one of my old friend asked me if I am already married and separated. I know it is a joke but I told him that I’m turning 24 next month and I am old enough to loo like a matured man. Maturity for me is a positive thing. Now, I am more responsible, independent and ready to mould my life in the way I want to shape it.

The teachers that I trained last week are some of the teachers from what we can say the “high-end schools” or the “rich-kids’ schools”. Sometimes, what if I transfer to these kind of schools to satisfy the financial part of my life. Some offers were offered to me this summer when they learned that I am from Pisay and these offers are really attractive and appealing. I am not saying that I am not satisfied with what I am earning in Pisay. I am single and have no obligations to help my family members. At time, I even asked money for my tuition in graduate school. I am lucky that my dad and my brothers are not obliging me to share in our household. I am not saying that we are well-off since they don’t need my share. For me, we are used to live in a simple life and the extra were getting now are just plus side.

I’m still enjoying working in Pisay besides the pride of teaching the best high school students in the country. Undoubtedly, Philippine Science High School is the most prestigious high school in the country and being part of it is a priceless satisfaction that every faculty members are enjoying.

Im not that sure if I will accept the next training that the TechFactors offered to me last week. It will be in Novaliches area and it is the same topic as the Cavite’s training. Start of the school year is fast approaching and I still have at least two training before the end of the month. My summer vacation is quite enjoyable and at the same time productive one.
