I just walked from the University Avenue to my dormitory for the last time. It was such a privileged to experience strolling around the campus in the middle of the night. It’s been almost 3 years when I first reside here. I am very thankful to live in the most peaceful, intellectual, relaxing community here in Metro Manila. I will definitely miss my dormmates in the International Center. I will treasure the exciting events and happenings that happened here. The midnight jogging, dine out, photo sessions isaw trip, tambay in Katipunan, community Pot luck and Gimiks are just few of the things that I will remember. I met here the most famous UP students, student leaders, diverse international community representatives and interesting personalities residing in one roof.

Throughout my stay here, I am very fortunate to found new friends (both Pinoys and Foreigners) for the last few years. Also, I am very thankful and blessed to have three past roommates; Daiki, a Japanese guy from Tokyo University during my first year of stay here; Jeong Yo Kim or Russell, a Korean who loves the Philippines very much; and the latest is Ryo Sakai, an intelligent Japanese exchange student from Soka University)
Of course, I will wish my Pinoy friends, who already left I.C. and the few people who will still stay till the next semester, good luck to their careers and hoping to meet them again soon. I am also thankful to the dorm manager for being so patient and helpful to us.

As a friend posted on my Facebook account…C’est t la vie . Yup . Such is life.

Tomorrow will be a next chapter. New home. New workstation.( I will party on Friday after a long time. Ehehhehe.) And I wish my self...Goodluck . Lastly, I want to say thank you to all the people I mingled, socialized and hang out with in the best residence hall in the University of the Philippines..

I came across a Kapampangan blog site last night while surfing the net and saw the invitation about this blogging event here in SM Pampanga. Have been staying in Angeles since Thursday for few days vacation and the lack of thing to do this Saturday morning made me decided to go and visit my favourite mall here in Central Luzon. Also, the growing numbers of Kapampangan bloggers and the plan of having a bloggers circle here in Pampanga is such an interesting invitation.

After the prior successful Wi-Fi service launches in other SM Malls in the past few months like SM Marikina, SM The Block, The Podium, the one in Clark and others malls around the country. Now, I'm here at the Free Wi-Fi bloggers' event at the newly constructed additional wing of the mall. SM Pampanga has finally joined the roster of malls in the country that provide free Wi-Fi access to its customers. Almost 20 fellow Kapampangan bloggers are now connected on-line. Mall visitors can also now be connected anytime within the mall free of charge.

Different bloggers convened in this part of the newly constructed wing to test the mall's Wi-Fi signal strength. I brought my laptop and iPhone to the event. The connection strength was excellent in my laptop that I was even able to download a free version of Avira antivirus at high speed. The connection via my iPhone was very good, too. Using my iPhone, I updated my Twitter friends about the blogging event and even updating them of my activities while having coffee inside a coffee shop. I just hope that they are all here to try and experience the free Wi-Fi service and even join the event.

---

Nowadays, a company that supports free Wi-Fi access is one of their methods to draw publicity and increase foot traffic. For example "If you're in the hotel business and you have a 50 percent occupancy rate, how are you going to fill up more rooms?" The solution is.... "In the '60s, it was put a sign out front that says 'Air conditioning.' In the '70s, it was cable. In the '90s, it was HBO. Now it will be Wi-Fi."

Wi-Fi hot-spots are everywhere to be found these days. People flock these hot-spots to study or even just to be connected to your online friends while even inside the mall. We are now in the new era of technology where we need to be connected anytime of the day.

Did u Know?

SM Pampanga is the very first SM Supermall in Central Luzon when it opened in 2000. SM City Pampanga is now the longest and biggest mall in the region, with more than 820 meters sprawl of mall shopping area, and the largest SM Supermalls land area for total of 316,000 m². It is known to be the 5th Largest SM Supermall in the country.( from WikiPedia)

from a fellow Peyups member:

Eto trip trip lang. NASA has entered for public polling the naming of NODE 3 ng International Space Station. There are four options (Earthrise, Legacy, Serenity and Venture) but there is also a WRITE IN option.

Now we have this knack for winning online polls sa mga beauty contest and in campaigning for the New 7 Wonders. Ngayon, tingnan natin kung mamomobilize natin tayong mga Eraserheads fans to have part of the space station named Eraserheads para international talaga ang dating ng International Space Station.

Go to this site.

Write ERASERHEADS sa write-in suggestion. 400,000 plus pa lang ang bumoboto. We can vote once a day up to March 20, 2009.

Ano masasabi niyo? Game!!!

Great night to all Eraserheads fans. I just arrived from the Eheads concert and I can say that the final set is more relaxed and fun but has less kilabot factor than the previous one. The venue in The Fort, Taguig is better that the concert ground at Mall of Asia. Smaller stage, sound and visual effects were not that good compared to the first one regardless of long preparation and a lot of sponsors that the second concert have. But all in all, the concert was great as ever since the interaction of the Eheads member to their fans was quite good and funny unlike the first one wherein the band never spoke or interacted to the fans. It’s quite noticeable that they, especially Ely, prepared physically and mentally for this concert to have the best concert they will give to the fans.

I loved the alphabetical "countdown" to the letter “e”. What a unique way to start the concert.

One of my favourite part is when they performed “Minsan”. As a dormer, I can relate on how you build friendship and camaraderie in the dormitory like how the Eraserheads met and built their friendship that started in the Kalayaan dorm during their stay in UP. While, the new version of "Alapaap" will give you chills in its acoustic touch.

Also, I like the idea of giving the centerstage to the other member. Raymund sang 2 songs and Marcus with his pink guitar sang a reggae version of “Huwag Mo Nang Itanong”. After they finished their part, the attention of the crowd was transferred to Buddy and he gracefully sang a line with a smile in his face.

As expected, some part of the concert was dedicated to band’s good friend Francis Magalona who died yesterday from cancer. They sang “Super Proxy”and a snippet of Francis M’s “Kaleidoscope World” for him.

They ended their concert with the hit song “Ang Huling El Bimbo” together with the great fireworks show. It was a big bang to wrap up the last Eraserheads concert ever. I’m just wondering about the significance or value of the old piano that Ely tried to set aflame. Nevertheless, it was a great night for the fans. Surely, this is one of the most memorable concert I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Eraserheads just had a grand farewell but definitely their music will live forever.

It’s been a great week. We spend the whole weekend in Laguna for our first year anniversary. It’s our second time in that resort and it seems that this will be our favourite hangout outside of Manila. After our Laguna trip, I went straight to Angeles City to accomplish some family errands and have my regular monthly relaxation in the Spa.

Just arrived from Ortigas to pay my brother’s Architect and to at the same time to watch the Sarah-John Lloyd flick. It was a feel-good movie and I really love how the whole cast managed to help each other in having a great and funny film. We went to Shangri-La and the whole cinema is jam –packed. Also, it is very amusing on how the A crowd reacts to a pinoy love flick. You can see how they can relate to the characters and you can here “parang tayo beh noh” comments once in a while.

Walang sukatan ng pagmamahal, kasi kung laging magsusukatan, lagi ding may sobra o may kulang. just give your best when you love. So hindi totoo na sa isang relationship, mas may nagmamahal ng sobra, may hindi lang makuntento sa kung anong pwedeng ibigay ng isa.

I am sick for the past two days maybe because of the changed in weather. I’ve been self-medicating for the past days and I hope the meds will take effect before my weekend out of town camping/hiking tomorrow in Famy, Laguna. This will be our second time to join this camping with the Don Bosco boys and I hope it will be a great camp again.

Few more weeks and it is the start of my summer vacation at work and at school. But before taking a break, a lot of research paper deadlines must be met and paperworks for school’s clearances..Excited for the summer 

I’m addicted to Korean food again. I ate Korean noodles for dinner last night and Bulgogi plus Kimchi for lunch this late afternoon in Trinoma.
