The three-day unplanned trip to Puerto Galera this weekend was great. Last Friday, we went to Ortigas area to pay our Elle, our Architect for his professional fee. After we met him, we proceeded to Megamall to watch “Twilight” and decided to meet Marc and his friends for a videoke session. Since $%^^ does not have a class the next day, we agreed to stay late that weekend. After the movie, we went straight to Starbucks at the side of Shangrila Mall where we saw Mel and Chuy (Marc’s friends ) waiting for us. We opted to go to Music Match in Tomas Morato area since Mel , &e5n and I are all from QC and it is kinda cheap there compared to Makati area. The four of them are really good in singing. One thing I enjoyed is the beer (in a beer tower) we drank the whole night. It was 3:00 am when we left the place. Mel got the first taxi. Marc and Chuy took the second one while the two of us left thinking where we will go next. That is when we decided to go to Galera since it will be a long weekend.

First time ko pumunta Galera since it is not one of the places in my priority list. Ehehe. Kasi naman naisip ko na in the future madali lang sya puntahan unlike the places I previously visited.(CDO, Camiguin, Iligan, Bukidnon, Batanes, Boracay, Iloilo etc.) Really want to go to different places around the country pero mas pina priority ko is the place na di gaano napupuntahan ng mga tao. :-) Next on my wish list to visits are Siargao, Dumaguete, Zamboanga or Tawi-Tawi. Unlike the beaches in Bolinao and Zambales, and Puerto Galera ay mas maingay at buhay ang night life. Also, tulad sa Boracay, you need to pay different fees (environmental, terminal ) bago makarating sa Island mismo na sa tingin ko eh source of corruption minsan. The food and accommodation is cheap in Galera except dun sa Batangas Port Terminal dahil sobra nakakatakot sa dami ng tao, makukulit at manloloko.
Info for travellers

  • Bus Terminal going to Batangas Pier= 179 pesos
  • Boat in Batangas Pier to Puerto Galera= 450 for two way while 250 for one way.
  • You also need to pay 50 pesos for Environmental Fee and 10 pesos for Terminal Fee.
  • Accomodation in Puerto Galera= Range is 600(for fan room) to 2500 (most expensive aircon room for two)
  • Banana boat is 100 pesos each (at least 8 people)
  • Snorkeling is 700-1500 each depends on the number of people in the group.
